Module 7 — The Therapeutic Session

Session flow, the healing crisis, and — most importantly — precautions and safe scope of practice.

In this module you will learn
  • How a session unfolds and how long it runs
  • The “healing crisis” and what to expect afterwards
  • Precautions and contraindications you must respect
  • After-session care and the duration of a course of treatment

7.1  How a session unfolds

A session moves through: intake and positioning → a full head-to-toe scan → impacting the pairs found → a re-scan to confirm the body reads clean. A first session is usually the longest because the whole map is scanned; follow-ups are often shorter, re-checking known pairs and sweeping for new ones. Total time varies widely — commonly around an hour, sometimes more for complex pictures, since each impacted pair is held 15–20+ minutes.

7.2  The “healing crisis”

After a session some clients feel an immediate lift; others experience a temporary “healing crisis” — a Herxheimer-like reaction (“Herxing”). In the model this reflects the body clearing toxins and the die-off of targeted microorganisms briefly loading the detox pathways. Commonly reported, short-lived symptoms include:

These are usually mild and typically resolve within one to three days. They are described as more likely after long, complex sessions or in people whose liver, kidney or lymphatic systems are already stressed. Frame post-session tiredness like recovery after exercise: the body needs rest to finish the work. Any severe or persistent symptom should be evaluated by a physician.

7.3  Precautions and contraindications

Practitioners often say the method has “no absolute contraindications, only precautions” — but the precautions are real and must be respected:

  • Implanted electronics — cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators, cochlear implants, insulin pumps. Strong static magnets can interfere with or drain these. Keep magnets well away; many practitioners simply decline to treat pacemaker patients when in doubt.
  • Pregnancy — treat cautiously and avoid placing magnets over the uterus/abdomen; many practitioners minimise or avoid treatment during pregnancy.
  • Epilepsy / seizure disorders, and anyone frail or seriously ill — proceed conservatively and coordinate with medical care.
  • Metal implants, open wounds, acute emergencies — caution or referral; biomagnetism is not first aid.
  • Children & swallowing hazards — keep magnets secured at all times.

7.4  After-session care

The near-universal advice is to hydrate well — plenty of water or herbal tea before and especially in the days after a session — to support clearing. Encourage rest and good sleep for about three days, light eating, and avoiding alcohol and strenuous exertion immediately afterward. Tell clients a mild healing crisis is expected and self-limiting.

7.5  Duration of treatment

Simple complaints may settle in one or a few sessions; chronic or complex pictures are worked over a longer series, re-scanning each visit and impacting whatever the body presents. Progress is judged by the client’s wellbeing and by the scan reading clean — not by any promise of cure. Biomagnetism should complement, never replace, ongoing medical treatment.
